I can see that this thread has been going for quite a while but I’ve only just found it. I had dreadful trigger finger before I switched to Tamoxifen and over time it gradually disappeared. All good I thought - but now I’m getting ganglions on my middle fingers. One has grown so large and painful I ended up having it drained by the Dr this morning, which was really painful. He tells me there’s every chance it’ll just grow back. I never had anything like this before taking the BC medication and wondered whether anyone else is experiencing the same kind of issues? Hi, I’m having my treatment privately, but my insurance wouldn’t pay for the guardant test.  I paid for it myself. I think any hospital could get hold of the forms and it was just a blood sample that was sent by courier to the company. Since the last post I had some emergency surgery & biopsies of peritoneal mets. They showed I am less ER positive now, so my oncologist doesn’t think Alpelisib will be an option for me any more. I’m still on IV chemo. I did e-mail someone at NICE & they told me that despite the pandemic, they are still on track to make an approval decision in February 2021. If it is approved, then the mutation testing will be included in their recommendations to the NHS. Hope that helps! Becks x ... View more

I did switch to the 28-day cycle - one week on, one week off, then same again. I'm on cycle six now but my tumour markers level has started to go up again so we have scans next month to see of we can work out why (ie if there's been progression.
