Hi Awil, hope everything goes well for you on monday. Sometimes i think we all need reassuring about what weve all been through these last 7 months or so especially by the medical team. I feel like i need them to say yes your all good and its gone , but i know they cant and it does take over my every waking moment. But sometimes i think omg what have i just been through all these months and its a lot to think about. It is so hard sometimes especially as everyone says , "oh you look fab, no one would think youve done 10 rounds of chemo". As much as i know its a compliment and people are being so nice , they havent got a clue what we are going through mentally.... sorry for going off on one !

I start my rads nxt Wednesday 18th and am a bit concerned as i still have tingling pains in my boob since my op last may. I only had my last chemo 2 weeks ago today , so it will be 3 weeks between my chemo and my rads. Is that long enough because my onc originally said at least 4 weeks between treatments. ..

Hi twins2, my body didn't cope well after my Docetaxol, that was my 4th chemo and i ended up in hospital for 9 days. My onc put me on weekly 6 weekly doses of taxol which is a reduced dose and it was a million times better. I have pretty much been able to do most things. No muscle pain in my legs or leg aches at all but i did have headaches which have now cleared up. I have just finished all my chemo and it feels so good that part of the treatment is behind me.... hope this helps , i did feel loads better on the reduced dose xxx

Hi ladies, just finished all my chemo last week. I didnt have the sickness but i believe you can ask for a better anti sickness tablet, the nurses are there to help, mine prescibed a few different tablets for me, dont put up with anything as you can get more help if you just ask x. I also had naps throughout the day when i needed them and ate little and often anything i fancied. I did also juice veg in a nutrabullet which seemed to help. Hope it settles down for you both xx

Hi, mine started coming out before my 2nd chemo. I didnt cold cap, but i got it cut like a pixie cut so it wasnt so dramatic when it came out. I didnt shave at all as i felt that was too harsh and because it was short it wasnt too noticable as it came out a bit slower when it was short xxx

Thankyou sameoldme, i have just read through that article and it gives you a lot to think about. I am actually feeling a bit better today and may call my bcn tomorrow for a chat. I think when you are coming to the end of your treatment, it starts to hit home ,just what you have been through in the last 7 months and thats what can be scary. Thanx again and take care

Hi, i have had a terrible week mentally. I had my last of 10 chemos last Wednesday and start my rads on the 18th... i cannot shut my mind off, thinking if the cancer has gone or not and hearing about so many people who have terminal cancer. Cant sleep and it just will not leave my mind at all.... anyone else feel like this? And who can i speak to about it?

Hi Got my tattoos on wednesday , the same day i had my last chemo, personally they dont bother me in the slightest. Got 3 weeks before i start my rads and going to enjoy this bit of time to have a little weekend away just so i can feel normal since my chemos been ongoing since June. Looking forward to no appointments for a few weeks .x

Hi ladies, i had my last of 10 chemo on Wednesday and start my rads on 18th November up till 8th December. ... so glad the chemo is over as it was far from plain sailing but so looking forward to it all being over in time for Christmas ... Take care everyone xx

Hi Syers38, i hadthe same diagnosis as you and i have my last chemo tomorrow before 15 radiotherapy. I had 3 FEC , 1 Docetaxol and 6 taxol.... i found i was on this site all the time and it hot me down so much that i stopped coming on here about 6 weeks ago....until today. Try calling your BCN or macmillan and you will get someone who will give you lots of positive cases and make you feel loads better... and get iff this site coz you will get so depressed. Good luck and dont forget we have gone through this to get rid of the cancer which we have now done. Take care lovely x

Hi curlykaren, i had 3 lots of fec then 1 Docetaxol. .. I did not have a good experience with it and was then put onto weekly taxol, which i must say was a million times better. With the Docetaxol i had the most painful joints, muscles and bones and ended up in hospital because i picked up an infection. If you can, ask for the weekly taxol which is so much kinder to the body ... let me know how you get on x

Hi Baz, how did you find the weekly taxol, i have had 3 now with 1 weeks break after my 2nd 1 because i had an infection. But have found them a lot better than the taxotere, my main side effect was bad headaches. Hope you have managed yours ok . X

Thankyou all so much for your caring and helpful comments. I spoke to my BCN today who is arranging for me to spk to my oncologist. I have been so possitive throughout this and then a bit too much internet reading gave me a dreadful sleepless night last night. Josie i must be at the same level as you but instead of my 5th and 6th 3 weekly chemo , they changed me to the last 6 weekly taxol. So i have 3 more to go and then radiotherapy. .. i think i have to stop reading and get on with it and thankyou all again for your kind words. It can be such a hard time when things get stuck in our head and play on our minds ... hope you all have a lovely weekend xxx

Hi i have been reading lots on the internet about side effects later in life due to chemo and its worrying me sick. It says about heart problems and lung problems and i dont know wether or not to carry on with my last 3 weekly taxol and radiotherapy. Any one else had this worry.. 😡

Hi marie, i am having 6 weekly taxol, have had 2 so far and 3rd 1 today. It is a lot more manageable and the side effects are a lot milder. It is more inconvenient but well worth doing , save putting you through the harsh chemo.... hope you find it ok x
