Jan, I'm slathering on aveeno oily cream. It's lovely. And usually on special offer in boots.    I'm day 5 cycle 1 and I'm sorry I can't keep up with everyone's names! God I'm 42 I used to be so good at forums!    Wiped out with fatigue today and did my first filgrastim jab today. I'm taking my temp regularly as advised by other survivors. I've kept a little diary of what I've taken and when. It's helping loads!   I went out for lunch today. No nausea, and not too tired. I must be lucky as I was expecting to be knocked out for a few days. I hope the second d round isn't worse as I do t think my husband will believe me if I'm actually poorly!!   Xx ... View more

Hi, I'm in Wadhurst. 42 with two sons, 16 and 12.   Dx in December, lumpectomy in January and I start FEC-T on 25th Feb.   Feeling ok at the moment.....like someone else said, I'm getting g lots of comments saying how well I look but that's because I have not started chemo yet!    I've had my seroma drained twice already and I have some bloody annoying cording running down to my elbow and wrist.   Am blogging as a way of brain dumping ! ... Thanks, I had assumed I would have to eat, but i've been doing a bit of research relating to the 5:2 diet and the effect it has on cells.....and how that could benefit you in chemo.   Everyone I've spoken to, thats actually done chemo though advises against fasting as there are periods when you simply cant face food.........and are fasting unintentionally. They've all said I would be glad to have had something in my tummy beforehand. It's such a minefield.   I'mm very aprehensive about it all.....even though I know I will be very well looked after! ... 4 core biopsies taken as lump def there, and not a cyst.   Mammograms squish a bit, don't they!    Back next week for results.   Relief to be in the system, even if it's still not over yet.   I love our NHS! ... View more
