Hello ladies. Just found this thread. So thought I'd jump in too. I start my rads tomorrow. Had my planning and tattoos last week. I've got 20 sessions of rads finished chemo three weeks ago had my wle in Feb. After rads I have herceptin injections and tamoxifen tablets! Hi ladies. Off for my planning session tomorrow bit nervous to be honest not looking forward to the tattoos! I had lumpectomy before chemo and just have rads to go 20 sessions having the boost because couldn't get cleat margins on one side as no breast tissue left not got my date through yet hoping to find out tomorrow when I'm at the planning session. I'm so tired my sleep pattern is all over the place I sleep when I need to so not always able to sleep at night. The smallest of jobs wears me out and next thing I know I've woken up on the couch two hours later and can't sleep that night! ... View more

Ali the depressed feeling will pass I had a day like this a couple of days ago. It's a strange feeling we should be happy it's the last one but we have to deal with these cr***y side effects. Once we've got over them I'm sure we'll all feel better and ready to celebrate! My advice is just do what your body tells you. Sleep when needed and keep on top of your meds! The one trick I found best was having a sick bucket by my bed instead of going to the bathroom every time I felt nauseous. I found it more like motion sickness every time I stood up I felt queasy but with having the bucket didn't need to stand and wasn't sick anymore. Well I spoke to soon. Se must have read my last comment and thought "oh we're not to bad this time are we not I'll show you!" Maxed out on pain killers and still in agony the pain in my back and hips is driving me crackers the hot water bottle is helping but now I'm sweating because I'm too hot luckily no temp! And then the tears start because I'm just naffed off with it all I know it's the last one but it's still s***! Fed up now can't sleep! Hope your happy first time Ali. I had my final t today and think the Se have kicked in already absolutely knackered but that also could be steroid induced lack of sleep last night! Thank goodness this stage is almost over just Se week and whether I get another night stay in my local hospital always seems to happen on the thurs after but we'll see. Good luck ladies Emma x ... Hi ladies how are we coping with the heat and the side effects. I'm off for final t tomorrow bit of a strange feeling can't wait to get it all done and dusted but really don't want the side effects and the trip to hospital on day 5 as I have with the last two doses (high temp). Soon be moving on to out next stage 20 rads 17 doses of herceptin and tamoxifen for me. How about everyone else? Em xx ... View more

Hi all I'm still here counting down the days until my final chemo next Friday! 🎉 🎉 . Se not to bad now apart from restless legs and tiredness. Anybody else read lisa lynch the c word book or her blog alright tit? I saw the TV film last year with Sheridan Smith when all this was non existent. But never read the blog I remembered about it the other day and searched for the blog and now I can't stop reading it's everything I'm feeling down to a t apart from the fact she loved her wig can't bloody stand mine! So if you don't hear from me I've got my head stuck in her blog. Highly recommended. I did manage to sleep although I woke up every hour. Feel so much better today still a bit of a sore throat but nothing like yesterday! Amazing what a night in your own bed can do! ... View more
