Hi

I’m Alexia. I was diagnosed with breast cancer in March 2020 while pregnant with my second child, just days before the UK went into lockdown. It was an incredibly overwhelming time, going through treatment during a pandemic, with a newborn and a toddler at home.

There were so many moments that felt isolating, and like many, I had to face a lot of it on my own. But during that time, I kept thinking about others going through cancer too, and how difficult it can be not just physically, but emotionally as well.

One small but meaningful part of my journey was my chemo port. I was so afraid of it at first, but it ended up helping me so much, and even became something I learned to see differently. That experience stayed with me.

It eventually led me to create Porto & Bello, a small brand inspired by that time in my life, focused on making treatment and recovery feel just a little more comfortable and manageable.

More than anything, I’m here as someone who understands how heavy this journey can feel at times. This space means a lot to me, and I’m really grateful to be part of a community where we can support one another
