Diagnosed in Feb 2025, right side mastectomy and immediate reconstruction with DIEP flap. Due for 18 weeks of chemotherapy, 3 EC and 3 docetaxel at 3 weekly intervals. Then due for radiotherapy but I don’t know how much yet. Then an oestrogen blocker for 10 years. Did not have this in mind for 2025, but did any of us?
I am 50, I like running marathons slowly for fun and I am running London marathon in April 2026 - something to aim for!
