I read about this last night and felt the same.
He was quite a significant part of the culture when I was in my late teens and early 20s so for me it brought up a bit of longing to have those carefree days back and was also a reminder of my own mortality, especially as I’m around the same age.
So sad for those who cared about him and yes, potentially quite distressing news for those going through similar.
