Morning pearl2,
I had exactly the same as you and had my surgery on December 10th last year. All of the procedures pre op didn’t pose a problem and the staff I met were helpful and friendly, which helps…
I had an injection of an iron oxide (I think!) preparation to check the cancer hadn’t gone into my nodes (it hasn’t, luckily). This left a darkmark, like a resolving bruise.I was told this would disappear within a year, but it’s still there - its never caused any discomfort though.
My surgery was as a day case, and I was home within 4 hours, after enjoying a cuppa and some toast - no I’ll effects at all for me.
I was told not to do ANY housework for 2 weeks- which ended on Christmas Eve - so I had a nice run up to Christmas, especially as the surgeon reassured me that all of the cancer had been removed (it was only 6mm diameter).
So, if you have someone who can take on the housework, sit back and let them…
Anyway, have a peace Christmas and a good follow up appointment x
