It’s not been a problem for me, my red bloods have been pretty consistent throughout. Surprisingly as I’ve been vegetarian for 40 years - though to be fair I take a low dose iron tablet most days. I do think they can give you an iron supplement (tablets or liquid) which I think they’d do before an infusion. You could ask the BCNs about it.
If you eat meat the best thing you can do is indulge in red meat. Heme iron is obtained from animal sources; spinach and other leafy greens give you iron but it’s non-heme and we need both. Also you have to eat an awful lot of spinach to get a good return! Try Googling food sources of iron. As a veggie I’m very up on all this stuff. Eggs are good.
