Hi, is there a thread for March Chemo starters yet? Xx
Hi @katie91 - we usually don’t start a new monthly topic until about halfway through the month, but if you’d like to get started then this topic can be used for anyone starting chemo in March to share thoughts and feelings in a supportive environment ![]()
You can find more info on chemo on our pages: Chemotherapy for breast cancer | Breast Cancer Now
Thank you ![]()
Hi All is anybody due to start Chemo in March 2026?
I’ve just had my appt through for 1st cycle on 3rd March. My regime is 3 x EC and 3 x Docetaxel. Is anybody else on a similar one? I’m planning to cold cap too!
Xx
@foxgem …. here you go ![]()
Wow that was faster than I expected haha thank you @katie91 for getting things started
I am hoping to start around the 10th March. Just waiting on my surgery results.
Treatment plan is 4x EC every 2 weeks 4x paclitaxel every 2 weeks.
I have decided to have a PICC and I will try to cold cap ![]()
We really are just twins at this point aren’t we @foxgem!!!
We can get through all of this together ![]()
Just popping on here from the January thread (I started on the 7th Jan but post in the Feb one too) to wish you all the best - the forum is so good for support and you’ll find lots of help in the monthly threads ![]()
Awww thank you so much! How is your journey going x
Thank you
Are you half way through now? How are you feeling?
Got my start date… 9th March!!! Can’t wait to get this started now
Hi all, awaiting oncologists appointment on 27th but looking like chemo will start in March. Just discharged from surgery and confirmed high oncotype score and 1 out of 7 lymph node involvement so it’s time to prepare for treatment to make sure this cancer stays gone.
Yayyyy!! In the nicest way possible as I of course wish you didn’t have to have it but I’m so glad you have a date confirmed!
6 days after my 1st one, we can drag each other through this nonsense

Welcome to the March thread ![]()
@katie91 @foxgem Thank you! Honestly I can’t pretend it isn’t tough at times but once you get going it’s such a relief and when you have one cycle done you know a little more about what to expect and mentally that really helps. I’m just waiting for the side effects of round 3 to kick in but you just have to hang onto the fact that it does improve, then you go again…and before you know it the weeks will fly by ![]()
I had cycle 3 yesterday and have one more TC on the 11th March then start 20 rounds of radiotherapy (5 days a week for 4 weeks) at the end of March (I had a lumpectomy op in November and another in December so that side of it is hopefully done!) x
Hi all,
I am starting 4 cycles of accelerated EC given every 2 weeks followed by 4 cycles of Paclitaxel also given every 2 weeks on 2 March!
I am pre-surgery. Dreading it but keen to be doing something about this vile cancer.
Frantically trying to work out what I need to help with side effects etc. Going to try cold capping.
Best of luck everyone! X
Just popping on to wish all the March chemo starters the very best of luck with your treatment!
I’m still waiting on a date myself, but it’s getting closer now! Will be following to see how you are all getting on. x
Hey @joodles let us know how you get on at your appointment in a couple of days ![]()
Hey @jululemon you’re a day ahead of me for starting, it’s coming round quick isn’t it
I just want this 1st one over and done so I can know what to expect and through the treatments.
Have you bought anything yet?
On my list to buy I have:
-Soft tooth brush
-Faith in nature shampoo/conditioner
-Anti sickness bands
-Silk bonnet
-Eyebrow pen
-Wigs/hair toppers but I’m holding out a little bit for these in the hope cold capping will work!
-Huel black edition protein drinks (recommended by @foxgem)
-My family are buying me 6 small little treats as I’m having 6 sessions I thought a little something to open after each one would be nice, just small non expensive things to keep me going.
Have you seen the little lifts boxes too if you’re in the UK?
Xx
Hi all, I’m in the February starters thread too but like @anncuk wanted to say if anyone has any questions I’m happy to share my experience. Age 56, I’m post mastectomy, paclitaxel weekly, herceptin (trastazumab) 3 weekly and zolendric acid (bisphosphonates) 3 weekly. Weekly pax is quite rare so I’ll have limited info on other regimes but at the end of the day chemo is chemo!
4th weekly dose due this Friday.
I’ve found this forum immensely helpful so I’d like to give back if I can
