Hi @rachelb1
I am sorry to hear of your diagnosis. I have a slightly different story involving liver mets, but also spread through blood rather than lymph nodes. I was originally diagnosed in Feb 22 with early stage tnbc, no lymph node involvement. TNBC is usually aggressive, and mine was a grade 3, so I had chemo after surgery. The surgery had clear margins, my sentinel lymph node biopsy was clear. They did tell me there was vascular invasion at the tumour site. A few weeks into chemo I developed infected diverticulitis and was hospitalised. They gave me a CT scan just in case and found liver mets. I have subsequently achieved remission through treatment. Your treatment options won’t be the same as mine but I hope you can too. I don’t know how common spread through blood is, but it doesn’t seem to get much attention as a risk factor. I would not have been scanned if I hadn’t become ill. I was almost certainly de novo metastatic.
