October 2025 chemo starters

Things move fast on here, I am just catching up with everyones news.

@snooky well done on finishing chemo and destroying that bell:rofl:.

@tessie86 good luck with the final chemo, nearly there!

@lumpybyebye sorry you had to hear talk of you being in the pub when off sick. FFS isn’t this hard enough. We need little pleasures on the good days. People can be so shit.

I mentioned last time about my paclitaxel and insomnia. I got my GP to prescribe sleeping pills. I have some strong addictive ones for once or twice a week, and sedation antihistamines for other days. You have to be so careful as both should not be combined with opioids but I’m also prescribed cocodamol. Dr didn’t mention that, good job I read the leaflet. The strong one works but feel groggy next day. I will need to time them around the worst of the pain. Its all so complicated. My mood hasn’t improved but I do now have a referal for counselling in April.

Also just found out my latest oncologist has left and I am now on oncologist number 3. No continuity of care. So p***ed off.
