I have secondary breast cancer too. The primary is in my left breast and the secondary is in my tailbone. I have been having treatment for a year - letrozole and palbociclib tablets and monthly denosumab injection. My last PET scan showed that only cancer showing up in my body is the tumour in my breast, which unfortunately didn’t shrink this time, it’s still approx, 4 cm in size. The MDT feel I’m a good candidate for surgery, so I am having a mastectomy on 24th April. I’m still not sure that I have made the right decision, but am worried the lump might grow again, and spread. I will be off the palbociclib tablets for a month, but still taking the letrozole. I just wish there was more research about this, My oncology team say the same thing.
