I found a lump just over a week ago in my right breast above my nipple. It is quite large. I am 36 years old and had a hysterectomy nearly 3 Years ago And I am on HRT and progesterone.
I went to the breast clinic yesterday- they did an ultrasound, then mammogram, then 4 biopsies and 2 in my right armpit, then inserted a clip and a further 2 mammograms
The consultant said it is very, very likely it is cancer and highly suspicious and to prepare for the worst, but there is always a very smalL chance it’s not. However my lymph nodes are inflamed and enlarged on the same side.
i just wondered if anyone else had this news… and then definitely went on to a positive diagnosis
Deep down I know and have always known it is cancer. However there is always part of you that has a little bit of curiosity.

. I found a lump in April 24 and was sent to the breast clinic. I was told on the day, after ultrasounds, mammograms and biopsies, that it was highly likely cancer. My biopsy results came back 2 weeks later confirming cancer and the subtype. I was 38 at the time and the tumour was 5cm with spread to atleast 1 lymph node. I went on to have chemotherapy for 4 months, a lumpectomy and then radiotherapy for 2 weeks, as well as targeted therapy for a year. I have just had my first annual mammogram after treatment and it came back clear. I’m so sorry you’re going through this
