I did have a second ablation after I stopped the treatment. Although they thought my residual tumours would probably remain stable it was a bit of belt and braces. It may be worth asking whether ablation is an option? The ablation I had was microwave ablation. It’s done by an interventional radiologist in a theatre equipped with x-ray. The team wear lead aprons and use the imaging to guide the probe to the tumours. It’s minimally invasive as there’s just a pin hole entry site for each tumour they ablate, but it’s a general anaesthetic job. It does take quite a few days to get over as it’s very hard to bend and twist or use your abdominal muscles for a few days.
