1 lump on left side of rib under breast and 1 found in left breast...linked?

Hi everybody, I have been reading many of your stories this week trying to get my head around my own, it has made things a bit easier but still petrified. So here goes. I found a 3 cm long lump on my ribs just under my left breast. My doc gave me an appointment that day to be seen. She wanted to check the whole area so firstly feeling the lump I could feel then checking the breasts, armpits etc. She found the lump I said about but then also found a lump in my left breast also. I was a bit taken back really as I recon to check my breasts often and didn’t think I had much to worry about at age 42 rly amd certainly wasnt expecting her to find a second lump. I have my referral next Tuesday and im sure its going to be nothing but it doesn’t help the sick to the stomach feeling. It does help keeping buzy but as soon as I do nothing my Brain goes back to what it’s. Has anyone else had 1 lump in breast and 1 underneath? I wonder what the chances are they are linked?

Any reassurance is massively appreciated xx

Hello @kellymarie so sorry you find yourself here

Finding things like that is really scary but well done for finding it! Whatever it turns out to be you are on the right track to get it sorted. Here on this forum probably 99% of us have or have had breast cancer but most lumps aren’t cancer. I know how easy it is to write yourself off instantly but try not to let yourself fall down a hole yet. The lumps might not be linked or linked to cancer at all.

Wishing you all the best. Stay busy and stay away from Dr google  big hugs
