I was hoping not to have to post here, in the nicest possible way. I had my first mammogram last year aged 50, DCIS 7mm low-intermediate grade, had a WLE clear margins, no further treatment. In November i accessed the clinic as had a bit of an ache, physical examination and U/S appeared all clear.
First anniversary Mammogram done last week, and Ive been called back for another mammogram and an US. The nhs app is just showing this without any further explanation. I’m awaiting a call back from the BCN , but I’m sensing impending doom. Sorry just wanted a hand hold.

It might just be the mammogram is inconclusive and they’re just being thorough. Deep breaths, you can do this.

Thank you for replying. I managed to speak to a bcn, it’s actually the other breast they said (I’ve not noticed any issues) with a thickening of 1.5cm marked as M3. I recall last year my dcis u/s was classed as 3 with the Radiologist saying nothing looked concerning , but the biopsy results revealed the dcis.
My mind is jumping that it won’t be dcis but invasive due to it being a thickening. The awful waiting phase….

The waiting is horrible. If it helps my small DCIS/IDC was HER2 negative and so treatment was only WLE and 5 days radiotherapy.
