Hello there, I think a ten week wait to be seen by a breast clinic is intollerable. I would contact both your GP and the clinic and say how concerned you are and that you are not at all comfortable with waiting until the 4th of March. Its not fair to leave you haning on like this.
I hope you get an appointment soon and it turns out ok for you.

Hi Dylmaxlexi
I’m not sure where abouts you live but I thought that in England you had to be seen within 2 weeks of a referral. I think 10 weeks is unacceptable although I notice that you have already waited quite a few weeks since your appointment with your GP.
I do hope everything is fine when you go for your appointment on 4th March. Remember, there are lots of other things it could be so try to keep things in perspective.
Best wishes

I know if it is an urgent referral you have to be seen within 2 weeks.
I saw my GP, who made all the right noises ‘it’s nothing’ etc, but then got a referral the following week. I think it depends on the GP’s assessment. If they think it’s a problem, then the appointment comes thro’ very quickly.
Hopefully your GP assessment was OK and you’ll be seen as soon as possible. 10 weeks is a long time to wait with this hanging over you though. Just hope he’s right.
