Im almost 10 years cancer free. Feel so lucky and never want to complain about treatment or side effects just so happy to have got through this and no longer something i think about. But side effects, i need to ask if this is a common thing as getting worse. I had a double mastectomy ld reconstruction. Always had a numb back and tightening but recently really bad cramp across my breast initially was when i stretched but now just happening randomly. Had it tonight continuous for over an hour pain and cramping now stopped agsin. Tonight worst its ever been and worried getting worse. Dont know if should see physio or contact breast clinic but discharge years ago.

Its not good tobe in any type of pain. Im guessing your mind is going slightly haywire at the moment with worry and concerns to what is causing this.
I would first, if it was me drag out your old paperwork and call your breast cancer nurse on monday, you may not be on there list anymore but they can access your records and can discuss any concerns you have and point you in the right direction, this route you will be seen alot quicker than via a referral from your GP.
I pray its nothing serious and that you get the help needed quickly. Gentle hugs to you

Hi. I am 10 years out with double mastectomy and reconstruction. I have been getting sharp pains, almost like a needle mainly on left side where I had lymph nodes removed as well. I went to do a 10 year check up with the plastic surgeon who did my reconstruction and he said it’s normal. No sign of infection or contracture, although sometimes they seem to just tighten up and hurt . Hopefully it’s nothing serious.
