18 very small painless lump in breast

HI, Hope someone can help.

I just turned 18 years old and today I found a very small movable lump in my breast. Right side just near the nipple/ behind the nipple. Hard to tell. I got my boyfriend to check and he too could feel it. I am a complete worrier, although due to my age im hoping its nothing. I  found it today and have made an appointment in a few weeks time if it doesn’t go. No breast cancer in family, my mum has cysts i dunno if that’s relevant.

Thanks x

Hi xeb

Welcome to the BCC forums, It sounds like you’re having a worrying time at the moment.  I’m sure some of the other users will be along soon to offer you their experiences and support.  In the meantime you might find it useful to look at the sections on benign breast conditions as there is a section on cysts which you may find helpful. I’ve included here the link to this page:-

breastcancercare.org.uk/information-support/have-i-got-breast-cancer/benign-breast-conditions

Also if you need additional support or just to talk things througn  do give the helpline a call on 0808 800 6000.  Here you can share your thoughts and concerns with a member of staff who will offer you a listening ear as well as emotional support and practical information.  Lines are open weekdays 9 to 5pm and Saturday 10 to 2pm.

Best wishes Sam, BCC Facilitator
