19 year old daughter with an inverted nipple

Hi ladies,

i havent been on here for along time. But am freaking out at the moment!

I had early stage breast cancer 8 years ago, chemo, rads ,herceptin.all good. My teenage daughter (19) told me that one of her nipples inverted sometimes and she had had it for a few months. OMG i freaked out inside but tried not to show it to much. I got her to go to the drs and she is being refered as a matter of course. If she does have BC I feel it  it will be my fault!!. Surely the chances at such a young age would be low?

I was adopted but have found out that there is no BC on my mothers side of the family, I dont know about my dad.Looking for some reassurance.

Just to add to my worries. I had some spotting the other day, which should not happen as I had my ovaries and tubes removed 3 years ago. I am being referred for that. I am not in a good place right now…:frowning:

Hi. All I can say to this is two things. If something is wrong with your daughter, it will not be your fault and you mustn’t blame yourself. You cannot help genetics. Also, for most of my life, I’ve had a nipple that’s mostly inverted, so it can happen! Thinking of you and hoping everything works out ok xx
