Just wanted to share some good news with my pals on this site who have stuck by me through thick and thin. Through the shock of diagnosis, the pain both physical and mental of the ops and chemo, rads and now the hormone treatment. And that terrible time when the OH went awol, metephorically with his depression and mood swings.
Now we have 2 beautiful new grandchilren making 4 in all. A little boy, not so little at 10lb born on 26th July, Alfie, and little Emily, born 20th Aug 6lb 14oz. Both gorgeous, though I may be bias!
Lots of smiling ahead of us, and spending time with the little darlings takes my mind of the ‘what if’s’ of this crappy illness.
Hope you are all well, I am flushing like a ballisha becon with the help of 1 wks worth of Arimidex!
Ive read alot of your posts in the past and can see youve had a bloody awful time, especially with the OH so im so pleased that i can see your posting with some really lovely news.
children are a great distraction, my four year old just keeps me laughing all the time.
Congratulations! Our first grandchild arrived last December & has kept us going during the tough times. When I’m with her I forget all my troubles. I wish you as much joy & happiness with your little ones.
We’ve got our younger son’s wedding to look forward to now as well, on 1st September. After all the traumas of the last year I’m sure it’s going to be a lovely (& very emotional) day.
Congratulations on the new additions Irene. I know you have had a tough time. I am so glad that things are picking up for you. I wish you all the best and am really pleased for you.
Enjoy the smiles and cuddles with your little darlings.
