2 x 8mm lumps

Hi

I’m new here. Found a lump and was referred. Had mammograms (4) and an ultra sound and biopsy. After the biopsy I was told have 2 8mm lumps and need another biopsy as they did not get the correct area (after the mammogram and metal clips showed). I have another biopsy in the mammogram in just over a week. First biopsy has come back clear. Should I be a bit more relaxed that all is okay?

Hi jot1

Thanks for posting.

Having investigations and waiting for biopsy results can be a worrying time. So, if you aren’t feeling relaxed, its completely normal. You say the first biopsy has come back clear and you are waiting on a further biopsy and mammogram next week, it’s not possible for us to say what they may show in relation to the results you have already been given.

People find different ways to help them cope while waiting for results, some find keeping busy or distracting themselves. Others find relaxation techniques such as mindfulness or calming breathing exercises helpful.
