Hello
This is my first post, My name is Meme, I just wanted to share my story & welcome any encouraging words & advice.
I’m a 43 year old female & few months ago I felt a painless lump in my right upper quadrant breast. when I first felt it I waited a few months to see if it went away before booking an appointment with my GP, she examined my breast and said that she wanted to make me an appointment at the breast clinic, This was on the wednesday, I received a phone call on the Friday to attend an appointment on the following Tuesday.
Tuesday came 8th March 2022, surgeon examined my lump and thought maybe a cyst, I had a mammogram & ultrasound, on the ultrasound the radiologist was a little unsure as to what my lump is, he has taken 3 biopsies he said it’s definitely not a cyst.
Could it possibly be benign ?
my lump has been described as hard/firm with irregular sides. 2cm
Anyone else in been or in the same position as me ? would love to know what your outcome was ?
i’m doing my upmost to remain calm & positive that it’s nothing to worry about but we are all human and like everyone it’s in the back of my mind that I could possibly have breast cancer. The wait is with everyone such a long time.
I haven’t told any of my family about it as I don’t want to worry anyone.
Thank you Meme
