Hi Ladies
Just had 2nd chemo session today but due to irregular live function test results I could only have Epirubicin instead of full FEC. My WCC and neuts were only just in the ‘normal’ margin as well and my Oncologist is concerned about how my liver is coping with chemo. I feel fine, even tonight no nausea or anything. I have developed a problem with thrombophlebitis in my left wrist but they think this is due to all the poking my veins have had to withstand in the last 3 weeks. MUGA scan is okay. And ‘inflamed colon’ found on body scan will be dealt with once chemo is finished - colonoscopy!! Ooh lovely prospect - NOT!!!
To any newbies reading this - good luck honey’s you will be fine just drink, drink, drink - the 2nd cycle is so much easier as you know whats what - the snow today has been our biggest problem.
It was also my birthday today and when my chemo nurse realised I got a lot of sympathy and countless chocolates but I actually couldnt think of a better present to give myself - by having chemo I’m freeing myself of cancer (hopefully) - what more could I possibly want:)
Best wishes and regards to all
Leigh xxxx
