I got a call from the Breast Care nurse at the hospital at 5:50 Friday night to tell that although the 6 samples of breast tissue they took via vacuum assisted biopsy to investigate some calcification. I’m so very lucky, they , were all benign. The BCN now wants me to come back and repeat the procedure (which was awful - nicked a blood vessel so spent over an hour in the mammogram machine then another 20 minutes being squished to stem the bleeding, bruises beyond belief. I now have to wonder why I need to go through all that again? Surely 6/6 means I’m fine? I know I have to be sensible but this just seems to be prolonging the wait another month and I’m scared of what they’ll find. Thoughts and advice please x
