So tomorow I go for my annual check up - I always hate the check ups even tho they say not to worry about them. And then on 28th its 3 years since the end of my treatment - lumpectomy, MX, axillary clearance, chemo, rads, and tamox which I am 3 years into. Champagne on 28th I think!
Happy to report I am now fitter than I was at diagnosis despite mild lymphodema, I have chanegd my life a bit so I only work 4 days, my allotment is FULL to bursting with produce, I see as much as possible of family and friends, I sing as much as I can, my work as self employed person is tricky in the recession but adequate, and I can save enough to go cross country skiing each year .
My learning- its tough being diagnosed, its tough being treated, but out the other side is a different and sometimes better place, sometimes worse place, than before. BC is now part of my history like it or not.
