Hi;
I recently had treatment for liver issues using Prednizone. I came off of it in mid march 14, by mid april I started to notice that my nipples were very sore and painful when touched. Upon further examination I found several lumps around the nipple area. I talked to my liver doctor about this and he felt them and said it was probably a result of coming off the prednizone. Last week I found a lump way to the left side of my left nipple, near the arm pit. I’m really scared and I called my doc and asked for him to schedule a mamogram for me. He agreed and it is scheduled for next week. Does anyone here know anything about what my doc was thinking at first when he said it was a result of ending steroid treatment? He really didn’t explain that and I’m grasping for hope that he might have been right and I don’t actually have breast cancer.
Thanks for listening and hopefully replying.
