6 months after breast treatment now have endometrial cancer

I had a right lumpectomy in June with lymph node removal and 15 sessions of radiotherapy which i finished in September.
I had anaemia at my preop that was not picked up . I had a routine eye test which showed that I had swelling of the optic nerve and with referral to an eye hospital in November.
After further scans I was diagnosed with idiopathic hypertension and an incidental find of a thickened lining of the endometrial cavity .I have a new primary cancer stage 2 . I am waiting surgery for an abdominal hysterectomy .
I am devastated and keep asking why me, as it hasn’t hit me yet and I don’t know if I have the strength to fight this again !!!

Its a horrible situation but you have the strength.
Youve rid yourself of cancer once & youll do it again. Its harder knowing what to expect.
Ask your questions, get a plan in place & di it.
Youve got this x

Hi Sunflower 6, You will somehow find the strength. I had my breast cancer surgery, chemotherapy then radiotheraphy in 2019 and continue to take Letrozole. Then found out through a CT scan for pneumonia in 2024 that I had Bowel Cancer. It really does hit you and I thought like you, “Why me? Not again” Believe me you will get through it. Cancer is not a respecter of people and we have to keep going as we really have no choice. I am thinking of you and wish you well. Take care.

Hi so sorry you are going through this . I had breast cancer and womb cancer 20 months apart , I was only just getting back to normal when cancer took me out again !! It feels very unfair . Hoping your treatment is straightforward :crossed_fingers::crossed_fingers:

Sending you all the hugs!! Oh my goodness. My grandmother went through breast cancer twice & one of those times she had uterine cancer at the same time. That was 30 years ago. Sending you all the love!!

Sorry for the late response and thank you all for your kind words.

I had a full abdominal hysterectomy five weeks ago and I have a Grade 2 , stage 3 endometrial cancer . I have two cancer cells and one is more aggressive .The recommendation treatment will be chemotherapy and radiotherapy and I’m waiting to be seen by the oncologist .‘I’m still so overwhelmed by everything and coping with breast cancer to last year.

You know that feeling when your on your own and the enormity of it all hits you and the journey ahead .
