I too can predict the opportunities for those who seem to relish “jumping” on others.
I find nothing offensive in James’s post. Those who are not interested in this service can ignore it just as they can choose to skip over chit chat or anything else they don’t like in the latest posts list.
Thank goodness for some of these more positive comments. Have been watching for a while. Its sometimes like walking on glass. I’m thankful for all the info/help that I can get. Thankyou BCC workers…Sometimes you can’t do right for doing wrong. Sad to say, you can’t please everyone all of the time.(however hard you try)

i have always found BCC very useful, i felt that no offense was meant in the initial post, for one, i don’t waste my money on newspapers, so its nice to see it here if i want it, for two, well, there is never any need for bad manners, thirdly, i do wish people would get their facts right. this is a good site, the people who run BCC are very caring and have total respect for all of us, i’d like to think that we can at least return that respect after all, this site is for our benefit.

I’m very grateful for the newsblog. Like others, I don’t buy newspapers and rarely listen to the news, so it’s nice to have this information at our fingertips.
James says he came into work that morning in a good frame of mind, and he posted accordingly. As someone who has also posted when in a light-hearted frame of mind and been criticised for it, I have an inkling of how he must have felt after reading some of the comments.
Keep up the good work, James and the team, and thank you for all your efforts.

I can see that there are many issues becoming entangled in these posts, and not that many are about James, some are about other issues, costings, factions etc.
I want to focus on what has happened I believe with James post. I do believe that it was important, no actually critical that James should have been warned that any attempt - real or perceived to further erode our adult status is usually met with a very aggressive reaction.
You see James, how often have i gone to the hospital to hear the nurses or dr.s accuse me of ‘being naughty’ because they cannot find a vein or the other one of ‘are you being troublesome again’. I have to smile with them about that, even if it isn’t actually funny, because it is a stupid person that alienates the staff that will be dealing with them for hopefully some time to come, partiularly when you are relying on their co-operation for things like appt times that you can actually make, and life saving treatments.
I think I have a very well developed and balanced sense of humour/attitude but believe me this disease challenges it every day.

I look forward to further communications from you and I do hope that managers will warn other staff of the sensitivties at work here so that they do not have to the same awful experience that you have had.
