Abemaciclib stopped due to drop in GFR

Hi everyone can I ask if anyone has had to have their medication stopped due to abnormal bloods. I recently 24th June had Covid, again, which made me unwell for a couple of days. So my recent bloods have shown that my kidney function GFR has dropped from 96 to 55, so unfortunately again I can’t have my medication. I’m concerned that I’ve not taken my meds and now I have poorly functioning kidneys. Has anyone been in this situation and what was the outcome/plan? I’m feeling very anxious and frightened once again

Hello! I was on Abemaciclib but my liver function went haywire so I had to come off it. Had a long period of not being on any treatment which was scary but I’m now on cape and I’ve had no problems with it so far. Sending you hugs xx

Hello

I had my treatment stopped for a week due to Covid then once I tested negative went to get bloods done to start again and my liver levels weren’t right. This had never happened before and after a bit of uncertainty everyone agreed it was an effect of Covid. One week later they had returned to normal and I was back on my plan.
I was incredibly anxious with it all. I had had a weeks delay before due to low neutrophils but two weeks off was more than I could cope with. However everything seemed to go back to ‘normal’ again once I was back on it.
Hopefully this will be the same for you and your bloods will soon settle
