Hi, I am now to this forum. By way of introduction, I had a mastectomy on Sept 1, 2022. I completed 20 rounds of radiation on March 8, 2023. I am currently on Letrozole. The next drug that my oncologist has prescribed is Abemaciclib. I haven’t started this drug yet but due to start in the next couple of days. I read info on this drug and the long list of (adverse) side effects scare me. Just wondering if anyone has taken this drug and whether you could share your experience in terms of side effects (if any) Thanks,

I have only been taking Abemaciclib for a week but having been very worried about the side effects I am happy to report that I have not experienced any of them so far. Hopefully who might have been taking it for longer will respond to share their experiences.

New to this forum also and in exactly the same position as you. I am coming off Letrozole and Oncologist suggested Abemaciclib/Fulvestrant injections. The Doctor I saw yesterday (not usual Doctor) told me what a good drug it is and went through the side effects. However, there was no mention of hairloss and it isn’t in the patient agreement form. It is mentioned on the leaflet though. Lost my hair twice now with chemo and radiotherapy so my heart sank when I read it’s a possibility.
