Abnormal breast lesion and lymph nodes

Hello,

I’m currently waiting for biopsy results after a fast-moving breast issue and I’m trying to make sense of everything that’s happened so far.

A lump in my breast has grown rapidly—about tripling in size over roughly 8 weeks. I had an ultrasound about 7 months ago which was clear at the time, but this recent scan came back abnormal. On the same day, I also had a mammogram and ultrasound of my lymph nodes, both of which were described as abnormal/suspicious.

Because of this, I had a core needle biopsy taken that same day, with multiple samples taken from both the breast lump and the lymph nodes. Metal markers were also placed. I’ve since been told the scans are considered “suspicious,” and they need the biopsy to tell them how they’re “going to treat it”. I’ve also been told that surgery is happening regardless but how and when depends on the biopsy.

In terms of symptoms, I’ve noticed fatigue, some intermittent aching in the lump (currently around 4–6 cm), shorter periods than usual, swollen lymph nodes under my jaw, and a general heavy or weak feeling in my body.

I’m struggling with the uncertainty and trying not to jump to worst-case scenarios while I wait for answers.

Has anyone had a similar experience?
