Hi Loolu I had a WLE on 20th Sept. The nurse who visited me at home said that my breast would become hard but it would soften in time. I still get the occasional stingy/burning sensation from deep in the breast, I expect there is still some healing going on in there. Don’t know if your having rads but I was also advised to start using aqueous cream all over the breast and around the area ready for my rads, I have been doing this twice a day, it’s only about £1.99 for a big tub.
If in doubt though contact your breast care nurse.
Hope that helps.
Good luck

Hi Loolu,
I had WLE and my boob was very swollen and bruised for several weeks. It wasn’t sore as such though - if yours feels hot or uncomfortable I’de get the BC nurse to check it - might be the start of an infection?
cheers

I must confess I still had hard scar tissue around the scar site after WLE and AX since I had WLE ten years ago.
It was always a bit painful but 3 weeks is very soon for you as yet I would expect loads of improvement.
