Wondered if anyone could give me some advice on supplements, diet etc. I’ve got liver secondaries and due to start chemo again in November. Am looking into the benefits of changing my diet and adding supplements etc but would appreciate your help. There seems to be so much different advice out there and thought there might be someone who has found a benefit from doing something different.
Thanks.

Hi Carol,
I’m sure your fellow forum users will be along with their support but in the meantime I have posted below for you the link to BCC’s publication on diet. Hope this helps.

Hi Carol
Good luck with the chemo. Have you asked to see a dietician at the hospital? I would be a bit wary of taking supplements unless I sought other advice that they were totally safe to take with the chemo.
I also have liver secondaries and just have a balanced diet of everything that’s good for me - I’ve never been one for processed foods so it hasn’t been a problem for me. I also don’t drink much wine (white) and if I do I always have it as a spritzer because I think of the toxins that my liver has to cope with.
The only supplements I take are Vitamin C and I’ve been taking these for years but apart from that I don’t take anything else.
I’m sure others on here will be able to give you more help on supplements.
Take care.
