advice needed

hi all
I have a lump on the top of my left foot. GP says it is a ganglion. I am not too sure. What should I do?

As your GP will have told you, ganglions are completely harmless. From your posting, I am guessing that you are worried that the lump is a secondary from your breast cancer. I suggest that you tell your GP straight out that this is what you are worried about, and ask him/her to reassure you that they are able to catagorically tell you that this is not the case, or carry out a scan that will do the same. A ganglion sounds the most likely, but you need to be confident that it is nothing more serious. Good luck. Sarah x

my husband had a ganglion on his foot once… he was in the bath and was massaging it and he felt it pop under the skin. he said it didn’t hurt and every now and then it reappears, but not as big as when it first arrived xxx

If you are worried and not convinced it is a ganglion then go back, voice your fears and get reassurance. There is every chance that it is as the doctor has diagnosed but it’s worrying for anyone who’s had cancer when a lump appears anywhere. So far I’ve not convinced myself that ITS back - but I’m sure in the future there will be something that I will worry myself sick about.
