Advice on metaplastic breast cancer

Has anyone on here been diagnosed with Metaplastic breast cancer? I’ve just had an update on my biopsy results. They originally thought I had sarcoma but have now discovered it’s actually not. I will need chemo to start with but wanted to know other people’s experiences.
It’s been a bit of a rollercoaster as they originally said it was just a cyst, I found the lump when breast feeding my son. So the news that is cancer has been hard,
I’m also getting other symptoms like musle pain in my arms and legs and I get the shivers so am totally paranoid I’m riddled with cancer,

The doctor has it is localised and my lymph nodes are all clear,
I’m a single mum to a 2 year old so it’s not going to be easy

Hi penguin80. I can’t offer any advice on your particular breast cancer but you have come to the right place for support . When I was first diagnosed in December 2023 I totally went to pieces . I was told it was an early cancer with no lymph node involvement but was convinced it was much worse . You will feel more in control once you have a plan in place, that’s the advice I was given on here and they were correct . Use your breast cancer nurse , they are worth their weight in gold , sending hugs x

Hi @penguin80 I saw a discussion on this a few months ago. Try searching on the forum by using the magnifying glass :mag: in the top right corner and putting ‘Metaplastic’ in the search criteria and you should come up with the various relevant threads which means you can reach out to those who have experience of it. Good luck with your treatment.
