Just a thought and I may be being naive and ignorant but if alcohol seems to be such a huge factor then how come only approx. 350 men are diagnosed with BC each year and some 44000 women? In my experience men are likely to drink much more than women (or maybe that’s just the men I know!!).
If it is proven that alcohol can cause BC, like my earlier observation, could we sue the Breweries. I think ages ago people were suing the tobacco industries for causing lung cancer. This is such a topical debate we could go on forever with many differing variations. It could end up that no-one would eat or drink anything for fear of what they might get and in reverse nothing would be produced for fear of being sued for causing something. It really is a matter of personal informed choices with acceptance from family, friends and acquaintances for those choices. Another thing I believe which I don’t thing has been mentioned in any post at all in any topic, make your decision WITH NO REGRETS.
