aluminium-free deodorant

aluminium-free deodorant

aluminium-free deodorant Hi everyone,

I may have been living in the dark for all this time, but i thought i should share with you all my discovery of aluminium-free deodorant. It is called Bionsen, and i found it in my local superdrug! As i said, alot of you may already be on to this, but i thought it would be worth my while to post this in case there are others out there who were unaware of this, like me, and might be interested!

hope this can be of help to someone!

Hi natnat I tried this, but I think the aluminium is the ingredient that does the deodorising! Suffice it to say that I can’t rely on it to keep me fresh, which is important as I work with the public.

I agree with Gandalf… … I’ve used Bionsen since September and constantly had to carry around the Bionsen stick and a pack of baby wipes as I would suddenly find myself sticky and a bit smelly - not nice! I thought it may have been a side effect of my treatment but this week went back to using my trusty previous deodorant (with aluminium in it) and have had no problems. So be warned!!

Anyway, I thought I had read somewhere that the supposed link between aluminium in deodorants & bc had not been medically proven???

deo Hi’
I found a good deo without aliminium called Pitrok and it’s on sale at boots and superdrug for £3:95.
I’ve used it for 3 weeks during my rads and now that my rads have finished last week I’m going to continue to use it as it hasn’t let me down. I’m having hot flushes due to chemo bringing on an early menopause and haven’t got smelly.
Shell.

Aluminium and other things It’s not just aluminium you should avoid but also any of the family of parabens - these chemicals are known to be found in breast cancer tumours so check your deodorants as often those that are aluminium free still contain parabens. They are also in a number of other products such as shampoo, body cream etc. The risk with these chemicals is that they mimic oestrogen.

It is a hard one trying to find an effective deodorant that doesn’t contain any nasties but there are some out there - a good health food shop or organic veggie shop will often stock them. I use a range of skin care products and cosmetics that are chemical free for my own peace of mind and, of course, it’s a whole lot better for this old planet.

Best wishes

I use an alumininm free roll on called KING OF DEOS,it costs just under £4 from boots ,it comes in 3 different fragrances and lasts all day long,my favourite is cotton fresh, bluebell.

Rosemary Deo Green People make a good paraben free aluminium free deodorant perfumed with rosemary - reminds me of roast lamb!

Green People Green People do a fragrance-free one too, but I find it doesn’t work as well as their others unfortunately.
