I’m new here, like most ‘I found a lump’ I waited about 3 months before going to doctors about 2 weeks ago. My appointment with breast clinic is Wednesday.
I’m nervous, what if I’m just being silly and whilst I can feel the lump they wont be able too. It feels like a lump of fatty tissue? Maybe I’m just being over sensitive.
Don’t really know what I’m trying to say but I’m nervous and worried and can’t keep my mind off it.
They won’t think you’re being silly. Your GP could obviously feel it. A mammogram and ultrasound will let them know if it’s something they need to know more about.
I’ve been to breast clinic 3 times. First was a benign tumour called a fibroadenoma which has been there 35 years now. Second was a cyst which they drained whilst I was there. Third was some general hormone related lumpiness but whilst I was there they found ann area of concern which was biopsied and turned out to be a tiny cancer.
It’s always worth checking these things out and they’ll be as delighted as you if it’s just fatty tissue.
Fingers crossed it is nothing of concern. I think it is brilliant that you are examining yourself and found a lump before it grew- I wish I had found mine when it was small. Good luck with your appointment.
