I was just diagnosed as having stage 3 yesterday and every thing is going so quickly .
My head is spinning chemo before opp or before ?
I’ve been told I’m going to need help with my horse which is mortifying me because he needs me .
Sorry I’m rambling but I don’t no where to go with all the information I have been given ,
I don’t understand . Why me

Dear Nesslay - it’s such a shock isn’t it? I couldn’t believe it when they told me either and your feelings are the same as we all had on being told. I’ve never smoked, I’m fit,not over weight, otherwise healthy and it isn’t in the family so I really can’t understand why me. My surgeon said unless you are in the very small group that has the gene - breast cancer is entirely random - so it’s nothing you did or didn’t do. There is a thread " recently diagnosed". Which has lots of other ladies in the same boat all chatting and trying to support each other - go on that and you will get lots of support and help. I do hope you can find someone to help with the horse, although you will be able to carry on looking after him except when you have surgery. Let me know how you get on. Hi Nesslay,when you are first diagnosed it sends you into shock you can’t imagine how you will cope with everything ,information overload is a big factor you just can’t take everything in.The treatment involved will not necessarily mean you can’t look after your horse apart from like Jennifer says just after you have surgery ,they encourage you to be up and active ASAP.You will feel more calm and in control soon.there are a lot of recently diagnosed women talking on the the thread “just diagnosed and wanting to talk to people who understand” we have all be where you are, it will get better ,you can cope with this with help and support.I am guessing there may well be help to be had with your horse if you look into it also.Keep on touch. jill

Have just sat down and have been filling in paper work for pre opp ect
Just can’t believe how quick every thing is going , glad it is but I can’t seem to think of anything else .
My horse Flynn is my world he is my me time from all things that are going on .
He does no what’s going on we have such a close bond .
People may not believe it .
He knew before I did cause he kept putting his nose there .
I believe if it wasn’t for him , I would be in a worse place than I am now .
Well all I can say really is best foot forward .

I was diagnosed in March and also found it a big shock as no family history, healthy lifestyle and was only 40. It is such a shock and u been dropped from such a height with the news, but all I can say is things do get better - as so many ladies told me back in march when I posted a similar post to you. I’ve now had a masectomy and am half way through chemo . And I have days where I’m tired but it’s all manageable (just as well as I have a 3 yr old and 6 yr old). But mainly you need time to digest the info but it does all move quite quickly so just take a day at a time and know all the ladies on here understand what you are going through and are here for you x
