well i had my 3rd chemo on tuesday and by thursday started feeling exactly the same as i did after the first dose, so i went to out of hours after seaking to emergancy doctor. anyway i was told to goto gp clinic to have bloods done as they were concerned that id had a cold (again like first time) and wanted to be sure they were fine, also had a anti nausea injection (which knocked me out anyone else had that and been sparked out?) i have mentioned to my doc how hard i find getting around after each session, the pains in my legs can be excrutciating and the tirdeness is that bad i have to get a taxi from health centre to my home which aint even five min walk for me normally.
im getting so frustrated cos the chemo doc just wont listen to how bad its affecting my being abe to look after kids, my temper is just so bad as well, and they still insist on doing treatment when im coughing n hacking away, saying that itl be fine this time. im sorry to moan especially as i have not been on for a while.
Hello there
I am wondering what chemo you are having. I had 4 taxols and got terrible pains in my legs, also the tiredness was not good.
I would advise you to keep an eye on your temperature and any rise give the chemo helpline a ring. I had a cough for about two and a half months and told it was ok when suddenly my temp rose and I ended up in hosp with a chest infection. Do not let this panic you but keep going back if you do not feel right. The anti nausia injection makes me feela bit odd, so you are not alone.
Iknow what you mean about insisting on treatment when you had a cough as this happened to me.
I have just started EC which seems gentler and I have a reduced dose.
All the best and please do not hesitate to go back if you do not feel right.
Best wishes Alison x
