Another question - protection during ....

… sadly not “sex” which is back off the menu again …

ladies and gents - a thought occurs …

when I am lying there being zapped there is nothing to proctect my face, neck etc and I have noticed that on all 3 occasions the tip of my left ear is burning afterwards

can’t be good for me … and my ear is VERY CLOSE TO MY HAIR FOLICLES … and if you ever have to have your head radiated then the hair doesn’t grow back

… are you getting my drift …

then there’s eyes and all that

does anyone get any protection for all this … has anyone asked …???..

just wondering!

lots of love FB xxxx

When I had my rads one of the target zones was up the side of my neck and when they lined up the machine for that zap they used to get me to turn my head to the side so that the rays were not hitting my chin. I think with modern planning the rays are very well directed and only radiate the bits they actually want to radiate… but mention about your burning ear to the rads team.

Good luck

HI
I had my chin held up by a strap attached to my head rest. Not very comfortable but kept me protected

Thanks for that - I am getting concerned about my ear as the very top is defintely burning - I’ll se what can be done - love FB xx

I have mentioned my burning ear a few times …

… they don’t believe me! (how IRRITATING is that!)

I have decided (no laughing ladies) it may be down to my very big head on a very short neck - my ear is not in the “usual place” …

… should i worry ??? does it matter if the top of your ear is radiated ??? - its only a 1 cm strip of the edge of the op of my ear …

… your opinion is very welcome! …

thanks as always FB xx
