Hi everyone,
has anybody else developed numb toes 2 months after finishing tax, it looks as if my big toe nail is going to depart, but my toes all of them on the left foot are numb!
also when I wake up in the morning and try to get up, I carnt walk very well and hobble along for a while before I can move properly,
I was just wondering could the ses be of tax but delayed, I mean how long is it before we feel normal again lol
cheers Liz xxx
Hi Liz, I’m 4 months post my last tax and feel the same as you. My big toe nails went whilst I was on tax but the numb feet and hands are still a problem. Getting out of bed in the morning I look like a 90 year old! If I sit for too long I hobble when I get up and if I’m on my feet for too long they feel like the bones are crushed. When I mentioned this to my onc he expressed surprise that I was having pain in my feet as they should be just numb! My feet have gone up almost a whole size in shoes which is worrying my OH as there’s about 250 pairs in the wardrobe!! Lou
hi everyone,
do you know what I think we just have to try and get on with it and cope as best we can,
mention it to anyone medical you get given the ses lecture, sick of hearing it!!!
It seems as if the tax stays in your system for quite some time,
Its all sent to test us;
Best wishes LIZ XXXX
hi
I finished tax April 2010 and still have 2 numb big toes with thick blackish nails.Initially all my toes were numb and I purchased numerous pairs of shoes to try to find a comfy pair, only to find they did not really fit as the feeling in the toes came back!Anyone who wants hardy worn size 6 no problem!
I have now found the only shoes I can really wear are hotters a half size bigger than previously -only problem is they start at £50.
Hope you get the feeling back in your toes soon,I know how strange a feeling it is.

Hi
My onc told me that the numb fingers and toes sometimes never get better. I wasn’ surprised then to still be suffering months later and expected to have to put up with the lack of feeling forever. It was months later still that
I realised that the feeling had come back and I hadn’t noticed!
I also spent a fair amount of money trying to find suitable shoes to cope. They are now in the back of the wardrobe and I can wear whatever I want again.
Good luck
Andie
hi thanks ladies,
Just when you think you are getting back to something like normal something else crops up
I look a bit like a baby orangutan (on my head),
the little old lady who lived without shoes,(when I am hobbling on my numb feet),
and the incredible hulk (when I am in a rage),
not turned green yet but give me time lol
best wishes Liz xxx
