Hi ladies. I’ve been on Letrozole for nearly two years and recently, I’ve had once-a-week insomnia. If that sounds a bit odd, I’ll explain.
I’m 66 and a church organist. In the run-up to Christmas, I had a significant amount of playing to do and while I love it, I was glad to have a couple of weeks off afterwards. Unfortunately, the night before my first Sunday back, I had night-time anxiety followed by rotten night’s sleep; somehow, though, I coped with the playing. Now, you’d think the problem would stop there but it didn’t. In fact, this has just happened to me for the sixth Saturday-into-Sunday in a row and I’m fed up with it. It doesn’t happen to me at all during the week. I’ve read that Letrozole can cause anxiety and also insomnia. So I’m wondering if during my Christmas break from playing, these darling little tablets could have made me more vulnerable to anxiety and in turn, to insomnia. I’ve now got two weeks off playing and I’d really like to get over all this. I don’t want to stop taking the tablets but I can’t have them wrecking my professional life. Thanks for reading, ladies ![]()
