Can anyone explain why I am still anxious 6 years plus. On extended letrozole for 10 years and another load of Bisphosphonates. I feel it is getting harder to ‘keep dodging the bullet’ so to speak, hence the way I feel.
I think you explained it yourself while you’re so anxious. Knowing the facts about hormone positive breast cancer isn’t a good time. How to deal with those facts though? I think therapy can be an answer. You can be taught how to think through fears in a way that calms your physical feelings of anxiety. Sometimes medication can help. Tweaking brain chemistry may help the fears not to be overwhelming. And then living day by day and not focusing too much on the future. After all the future is truly not guaranteed to any of us even those without a cancer diagnosis. All those have really helped me to keep things in perspective so that my fears don’t become physically overwhelming.
