Hi
I was diagnosed with breast cancer back in March, have had an operation to remove the lump and my sentinal gland in late March. I have been told I am clear, and that the cancer was a Grade 2, my sentinal gland and lymph nodes were clear as was the area around the lump. I can’t help being anxious and a abit panicky-about the health of the rest of my body and about going out and about. I spoke to someone at Breast cancer Care who was very helpful in telling me this is normal. Made me feel so much better. Still get bouts of anxiety…have bought lots of self-help books and downloaded meditation and hypnotherapy audio aids which are very helpful. I particularly like The Secret and Paul McKenna’s ‘Change your life in 7 days’.
I will find out which treatment I will be having next week.
All the best!
Hi amandeep just wanted to say its very normal to feel this way .Getting a cancer diagnosis is a massive shock to the system i had op in late march and it is in my lymph glands am waiting to start chemo and need further surgery Im waiting for scans and am really worried too and imagining all sorts .
I feel it is really important to go out and about to meet friends for coffee ,enjoy a walk etc it can become so easy to sit in your home and worry and imagine all sort of what ifs .Do you have someone you feel you could talk to? sometimes just to say something to another person about your fears can help a little.
Its important to focus on the positive news in your diagnosis they have removed the cancer and your glands are clear thats great news.
I also have downloaded some relaxation must look at the secret dont know that one what about macmillan in your area? im hoping to go to their hypno relaxation etc .Dont be too hard on yourself , give yourself time to deal with what youve been through lots of love and good luck with your results next wk xx caz
