Just had my second session and today they told me they had been asked by the Dr to use some extra equipment. They stuck 3 probes onto my skin around my affected area. I did try to ask the radiologists but I cant think or remember what they said. My poor brain doesnt work well since having chemo.
I think it’s to improve targeting the dosage to where it’s needed, instead of the blanket coverage I got. BUT you’ve just got time to ring one of the nurses here to ask OR ring your radiotherapy department - you’ll fret all weekend otherwise!
Really I just wanted to sympathise with you regarding chemo-brain. It’s a b***** isn’t it! Information comes in, is processed and you know you understand and, a minute later, it’s gone. I’m 5 months past chemo and I still suffer. You have more delights ahead, like chemo-curl, which is distinctly unflattering, and the thickest eyelashes you ever had (they don’t last, unfortunately). So good luck with the rads (I found it a doddle but chemo was terrible) and the rest of the treatment.
