Hi I’m new here I’ve just had a mastectomy, just about 3 months recovery , grade 2 breast cancer and 5 lymph nodes removed just about to start hormone drug treatment , at Christmas I had the fantastic news that I’m now cancer free , I would love to hear you experiences anyone out there
Hiyer Rosie…I was 47 (49 now) when diagnosed…and there are lots here in their 40s about. Please don’t take this the wrong way, I think its fantastic that you’ve posted here, its a brilliant place to get so much advice and support, but it’s possible that in the ‘younger women’ section you might not get as many replies as in other areas. I’m kind of smiling to myself here, as when I first came I wondered if I applied to the younger womens’ section…maybe I did…maybe we do ?! …but I’ve noticed people are more likely to be 20s and 30s in this part of the forum. Anyway, if you get only a few replies, maybe repost in another more frequently used area?
I think its brilliant that you are recovering so well, and moving onto the final part of treatment. DId you have radiotherapy or chemo? Have a look around, there are threads dedicated to every part of treatment and recovery, and look forward to seeing you around. x
