Any tips on improving hardened veins?

I completed my course of FEC-T at the end of July and have been left with very hard and sore veins in my right arm. If I stretch my arm out the veins pull under the skin and it looks like a road map! Its also very uncomfortable and I’ve developed cording which runs up to my arm pit. I’ve been told the veins will improve but I wondered if anyone had any tips?

Hiya, I’m wondering exactly the same, but I have one more chemo to go!
My veins are sticking out, they are really hard and sore. A lady has recommended Hirudoid cream, so I am going to ask my chemo nurse about it.
I’m scared about my chemo next week as they had such a struggle getting it into me the last time.
My chemo nurse said it takes about 6 months for things to get back to normal.

Hi Emma
Best of luck with your last chemo. You have my sympathies. I ended up in hospital after my last chemo with an infection and had to have IV antibiotics through a cannula for 7 days. My veins kept collapsing but every time I though the nurses wouldn’t be able to find another good vein they seemed to magic one up from somewhere! I hope it goes ok for you and thanks for the recommendation of the cream x
